Get the most out of The Physician Project

Have you maximized your free presence?

Before we talk about paid options, let’s make sure you’re getting the most out of what’s already available to you at no cost.

The Physician Project offers more free features than paid ones. You can promote upcoming events, answer physician FAQs, and keep adding new listings as your business grows. The goal is to make your presence dynamic and visible across multiple pages, so physicians discover you in different contexts.

Here’s everything you can do for free:

Why this matters: Each new offering you add (a new course, a new podcast season, a new coaching program) gets its own dedicated page with its own category and topic placement. More listings mean more ways for physicians to find you.

Launched something new? Keep your profile current by adding it to The Physician Project.

What you need to know: Each influencer can have up to 10 separate listings. Every time you expand your work, add it here.

ADD A NEW LISTING HERE by completing the form outlined in blue.

Why this matters: Basic listings work, but completed listings perform better. Adding descriptions, images, and social links makes your pages more engaging and helps physicians understand what you offer at a glance.

Most influencers start with basic information and build from there. If your pages still look bare, now’s the time to fill them out.

View a COMPLETED INFLUENCER PAGE here.

Why this matters: FAQs position you as a trusted resource. Your answers to Physician FAQs appear on both category/topic pages (where physicians are actively browsing) and your influencer page. It’s content marketing that builds credibility without the time investment of writing a full blog post.

Our peers have questions. Share your expertise and increase your visibility at the same time.

How it works:

Answer a Physician FAQ today!

Responses to Physician FAQs can be found on category and topic pages, and on the INFLUENCER PAGE of their author

1. Decide which Physician FAQ you'd like to answer

Select a category and topic of interest to you. Each category and topic page has 3 Physician FAQs. e.g., the CLINICAL CATEGORY

Q1: Is there a HIPAA-compliant way to respond to online patient reviews?

Q2: High-quality CME with limited bias is difficult to find. What sources of CME do physicians recommend?

Q3: How are employed physicians using HIPAA-compliant charting and transcribing tools?

2. Locate your influencer ID

Your influencer ID is contained in the URL of your pages.

e.g., Sample Listing URL: thephysicianproject.com/listing/00123-01
e.g., Sample Influencer URL: thephysicianproject.com/influencer/00123
Sample influencer ID = 00123

Get HELP HERE finding your Influencer ID.

3. Click the gray banner at the bottom of the category/topic page

Complete the brief form with your:

  • Influencer ID
  • Title of FAQ response (max 200 char)
  • Text of FAQ response (max 1500 char)
  • Email (for internal verification only)

Influencers wishing to respond to Physician FAQs must agree to the following:

  1. I understand that completing this form does not guarantee that my FAQ response will appear on thephysicianproject.com. The information I provided in this form entry will be reviewed. I will be notified by email when my entry has been approved or declined.
  2. If my entry is approved, I am allowing The Physician Project to display all of the information I have provided in this form, except my email.
  3. I understand that there is no fee and no compensation for volunteering my FAQ response.
  4. I confirm that this FAQ response is my own written content for which I am fully responsible. The Physician Project is not responsible for the content or views expressed in my FAQ response.
  5. I understand that my FAQ response may be removed without notice at the discretion of the administrator of thephysicianproject.com.
  6. I understand that I can request the removal of my FAQ response from thephysicianproject.com using the CONTACT US form at https://www.thephysicianproject.com/terms

Once you’ve built out your free presence with updated listings, promoted events, and FAQ responses, you might be ready to take it further. That’s where paid partnership options come in.

Why market here?

You’ve already added your listings to The Physician Project. Now you’re weighing whether it’s worth investing in paid visibility. Here’s why it makes sense.

Your audience is already here. Physicians browse The Physician Project specifically to discover peer-created resources. They’re not aimlessly scrolling through social media feeds or search engines. They’re actively looking for exactly what you offer, organized by the categories and topics that matter to them.

Marketing here is straightforward. No complicated ad platforms, no bidding wars, no algorithm guessing games. You pay a flat monthly rate to elevate your existing listings on their category or topic pages. That’s it. You choose which pages, you choose which months. No long-term contracts, no hidden fees.

Better ROI than social media ads. Facebook and LinkedIn ads compete with everything else in a physician’s feed. You’re paying for impressions that may or may not reach your target audience. Here, every physician who visits your category or topic page sees your featured listing at the top. Plus, you get the SEO benefits of high-quality backlinks that keep working long after your featured month ends.

Launch timing flexibility. Planning a course launch in March? Feature your listing in February and March. Hosting a conference in the fall? Elevate your presence two months before registration opens. Pay only for the months that matter to your business.

The Physician Project gives you direct access to physicians seeking resources like yours, without the noise and expense of traditional digital marketing.

Do you value transparency?

The Physician Project operates differently from most online directories. Here’s how.

No affiliate links. We don’t earn commissions when physicians click through to your website. We’re not profiting from directing traffic to you or anyone else. There are zero affiliate links on this site.

No conflicts of interest. Your listings appear based on the categories and topics you choose, not on how much you pay. Free listings and paid listings follow the same organizational structure. Physicians browse by what interests them, not by who has the biggest marketing budget.

Clear labeling. When influencers choose to pay for featured placement, those listings are clearly marked as sponsored. Physicians know exactly what they’re looking at.

Mission over profit. I didn’t build The Physician Project to generate income for myself. I’m a practicing physician who created this directory because I believe physicians need better ways to find and support each other. But at this point, the platform has grown complex enough that it needs resources to sustain itself.

Here’s the reality: The Physician Project is a low-budget operation. No staff, no programmers. It’s taken years to build what you see here, and I’ve done it while maintaining my clinical practice. If the site can generate enough revenue to cover its costs, I can dedicate more time to improving it and expanding features that serve physicians seeking change and physicians creating alternatives.

Our commitment to trainees: The Physician Project will donate 10% of profits to sponsor medical students and residents to attend conferences or work with career coaches. Supporting the next generation of physicians is part of our mission.

Paid partnership options exist so this platform can continue to exist. They’re optional, clearly labeled, and designed to benefit both you and the physicians who find you here.

Curious about on-demand marketing?

Pay only for the visibility you need, when you need it. No annual contracts, no wasted spend on months that don’t matter to your business.

Partners choose which listings to feature, which pages to appear on, and which months to invest in.

Planning a course launch? Feature your listing the month before. Hosting a conference? Elevate your presence during registration season. Then step back when you don’t need the extra visibility.

Here are your two options:

Get prime real estate on the pages where your audience is already browsing.

How it works: Your listing appears at the very top of its category or topic page. Physicians see you first before they scroll through other listings.

Exclusivity: Only 3 featured spots per page. With 7 category pages and 22 topic pages, there are 87 available featured listing slots each month across the entire site.

Strategy: Since your listings already appear on 1 category page and 2 topic pages for free, you can choose to feature on any or all of those 3 pages. Each page and each month is purchased separately, giving you complete control over your budget and timing.

Best for: Promoting a specific offering (your coaching program, your podcast, your course) to physicians actively browsing that topic.

Showcase your profile on the main navigation page of the site.

How it works: Your influencer profile appears at the very top of the LEARN page, where physicians start their browsing journey.

Exclusivity: Only 5 featured physician positions are available per month across the entire platform.

Strategy: This elevates your personal brand rather than a single product or service. Perfect for building recognition before a major launch or when you want physicians to discover everything you do.

Best for: Established influencers with multiple listings who want maximum visibility, or those preparing for a significant launch or campaign.
